Feb. Journal Page

This month I decided to make it about our dogs, since we have been having so much fun with them, and just got our second one in Jan. They of coarse are our friends, family, and love to give us kisses... They keep me very busy also. Potty, food, water, want to play and be in the quilting studio, that is thier favorite place. When they see me open the door they are right thier to go in with me. Of coarse I have to keep that door closed or I think they would be in thier quilting!LOL
I decided to have lots of buttons and do the red thing for Feb., tied some threads around the buttons, used some foil, Satin stitch 3 sides, put yarn twisted on one side and some embelishments. Ran a strip of ribbon in two directions. ( under the buttons) That's about it. On to the next month.

Very red and wonderful! Friends, family, kisses - that is what dogs are about! Well, and sleeping nicely to keep our laps warm...
I really like this, Sande, and agree with quiltnbee about the smile!
I love red and this is gorgeous. I like the foiling and the yarn wrapped around the buttons, haven't seen that before. Very beautiful valentine and such cute fur babies.
Nice job - I love kisses from my puppy (12yr old lab wiem mix) too!!
What a cute Valentine! I love the color and the fact that it's for dogs.
This is so sweet. I love everything about it. Is that a photo transfer of the puppies?
Love the color and the pups. I like teh way you embellished with the red button and trim.
Excellent! I love the use of your dogs and the iridescent circles in the heart. The colors and design work very well together.
What a sweet piece. I love that you did a valentine sweetheart page for your four legged children. People who love dogs are special in my book. I just love everything about it.
Debby has it right...this piece makes me smile too. I like the special detail you've put into the bordering - it really gives it a boost. It makes me feel like it's a Valentine from the turn of the century - very classic!
Great homage to your dogs! I especially like the way you used the big face inside the heart...
